This cavern’s as wide as
A west country kingdom
This cavern’s as high
As the north country sky
The wind fills our sails
And we plunge into darkness
On all sides we feel
Black malevolent eyes

The fighting was fierce
At Fiddler's Crossing.
A great living ship
With segmented eyes
Did scream as it burned
While its crew leapt for safety.
They found none ashore, then
Just blades, spears and cries.

At Stonewater Cay,
The water’s like crystal.
The lichen all glows
That grows on the walls.
We watched as the seabed
Below us contracted,
Baring the fangs
Of a vast gaping maw.

Tentacles rose
As thick as a redwood.
Bat’ring our ship
And tossing the crew.
It rose its great head
from the brine and we faced it.
With our splintered bowsprit
We ran it straight through.
